Whoever told me that setting up a blog would be easy is out of her mind! I guess she wanted the "Bare Minimum Blog" without all the bells and whistles! I find a way to justify my complaints. I say "I'm a designer and everything on my blog has to look absolutely perfect"! That translates to a load of trouble ahead for me. I know better, trust me. The last time I tried to create my own website my husband didn't see me come out of my office for several months! And then I ended up hiring a professional to create a new one.
This time it's going to be different. So what if my posts aren't in the precise typefont I ordered with my "add-on Typekit" that I spent lots of extra money on. They'll still read the same, won't they. No, I don't think they will. I'll know they were supposed to be in Bickham Script Pro!
How is it that other bloggers don't seem to have such problems? Oh, they're probably settling for less. They must not be too concerned with whether their type appears to recede into the background, or scream for attention like I want mine to! Funny thing though. Their blogs are busier than mine. And I guess that's really the main point behind blogging, isn't it? Probably have to settle for less just like the rest - and keep everything Arial Narrow...
